Visits & booking
What happens at a consultation?
You sit down with a member of our medical team, talk through what is bothering you and what you want to change, and get an honest read on what treatment can and cannot do. We review your health history, look at your skin or your labs depending on the concern, and put a plan together. Nothing is treated the same day unless you are ready and it is clinically appropriate.
What should I expect on a first visit?
Plan on about an hour. Come without makeup if your concern is skin or injectables. You will fill out a short health history, meet your provider, and leave with written aftercare instructions and a follow-up date if one is needed.
Who performs the treatments?
Our licensed medical team, under physician supervision. Every plan is reviewed before anything is performed, and injectable and laser treatments are carried out by trained medical professionals.
Is there downtime?
It depends on the treatment. Many injectable and facial appointments let you go back to your day right away, with some redness or swelling that settles within hours. Resurfacing and more intensive laser treatments need real recovery time. We tell you exactly what to expect before you book, not after.
How do I book?
Call 248.972.8600 or send the request below and we will get back to you to schedule. We are at 39520 Woodward Ave, Suite 103, open Monday–Friday 10am–5pm and Saturday 10am–1pm.
Can I ask for a particular day or time?
Yes. The consultation form lets you pick a preferred date and a morning or afternoon slot. We confirm the exact time when we call you back.
Where are you located?
At 39520 Woodward Ave, Suite 103, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304, a short drive from Birmingham, Troy and West Bloomfield.
Injectables
About InjectablesDoes it hurt?
Less than most people expect. The needles are very fine, neuromodulator injections feel like a quick pinch, and filler products generally include a local anesthetic. Topical numbing is available on request.
How long does it last?
Typically 3 to 4 months for neuromodulators and 6 to 18 months for fillers, depending on the product and the area treated. Areas that move constantly, like the lips, tend to be on the shorter end.
Can I combine treatments?
Yes, and many plans do — neuromodulators for lines that come from movement, filler for volume that has been lost. We sequence them so each result can be judged on its own before the next step.
Who performs the treatment?
Our licensed medical team, under physician supervision. Your plan is reviewed before anything is injected.
Will I look done?
Not if we do our job. We start conservatively and build at follow-up. It is always easier to add than to wait something out.
Laser & Skin
About Laser & SkinWhich treatment is right for me?
That is what the consultation decides. Pigment and redness point toward IPL; texture and scarring toward microneedling or resurfacing; laxity toward tightening. Many plans combine two over a few months.
How much downtime should I plan for?
Anywhere from none to two weeks. We tell you the range before you book so you can schedule around an event rather than around a surprise.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Some technologies are, some carry more risk of pigment change. Microneedling is generally well tolerated across skin tones. Device settings are chosen for your skin, and we will recommend against a treatment that is not appropriate for it.
Does it hurt?
Most treatments feel like heat, snapping or pressure rather than sharp pain. Topical numbing is used for microneedling and resurfacing.
How soon will I see a difference?
Pigment and redness often improve within one to two weeks of an IPL session. Collagen-driven changes from microneedling, resurfacing and tightening build over one to three months.
Laser Hair Removal
About Laser Hair RemovalHow many sessions will I need?
Six to eight is a common range, spaced four to eight weeks apart. Coarse areas may need fewer, hormonally driven facial hair often needs more, and we reassess as we go rather than selling a fixed package up front.
Does it hurt?
It feels like a quick snap with cooling right behind it. Most people tolerate it easily. Bonier and denser areas are the least comfortable.
Can I shave between sessions?
Yes — shave as often as you like. What you cannot do is wax, thread, pluck or use epilators, because those remove the follicle's target.
Does it work on blonde, red or grey hair?
Poorly. The treatment depends on pigment, so light and grey hair responds far less. We will tell you at the consultation if your hair is not a good candidate rather than take the booking.
Can I treat in the summer?
Yes, if you can keep the area out of the sun and off the tanning bed before and after. Tanned skin raises the risk of a burn or a pigment change, so we may reschedule a session if you have been in the sun.
Facials & Skincare
About Facials & SkincareHow is a medical facial different from a spa facial?
Supervision and strength. A medical facial is performed under physician supervision with clinical-grade products and actives chosen for your skin, and it can be adjusted around other treatments you are having.
What exactly is mesotherapy?
Micro-injections of a customized blend of vitamins and hyaluronic acid placed just beneath the surface of the skin to hydrate and refresh it. It addresses how skin looks and feels rather than treating a medical condition.
Can I have a facial before an event?
Yes, with timing. Book a hydrating facial two to three days ahead. Do not book extractions or mesotherapy the day before — give those a week.
Do I have to buy products from you?
No. We will tell you what your skin needs and what to look for. If you want to buy it elsewhere, that is fine with us.
Can I combine this with laser or injectables?
Yes, with sequencing. We space facials around laser appointments so the skin is not being asked to recover from two things at once.
Hair Restoration
About Hair RestorationAm I a candidate?
That is what the evaluation determines. Cause, pattern and how long the thinning has been going on all matter. Early is better than late, and we would rather see you when you first notice it.
Is this surgery?
No. Everything we offer here is non-surgical and done in the office. If your situation calls for a surgical option, we will say so and point you in the right direction.
How long before I know if it is working?
Three to six months for a meaningful read. We take photographs at the first visit specifically so the comparison is not a memory.
Does it work for women?
Women make up a large share of the thinning-hair consultations we do. The pattern is often different from male thinning, which is exactly why the evaluation comes first.
What if hair loss is a symptom of something else?
That is a real possibility and one of the reasons we take a full history and may order labs. If something medical is driving it, treating the scalp alone will not solve the problem.
Medical Weight Loss
About Medical Weight LossWho is a candidate?
That is determined at your evaluation. We look at your health history, current medications, measurements and lab results together before recommending anything.
Is medication required?
No. Whether prescription options belong in your plan is a clinical decision made after your evaluation and labs. Plenty of plans do not include one.
How often do I check in?
Regularly, with the schedule set at the start and adjusted as you go. Follow-up is the core of a supervised program, not an optional add-on.
Do I need lab work?
Yes. Blood work is part of the evaluation. It tells us what is going on before anything changes and gives us a baseline to compare against.
How quickly will I see results?
It varies by person and by plan, which is why we measure and review on a schedule instead of predicting. We will be straight with you about what your own numbers show.
Men's Hormone Health
About Men's Hormone HealthDo I need lab work before treatment?
Yes, always. Testosterone therapy is prescribed only after an evaluation and blood work that support it. There is no version of this that skips the labs.
What if my labs are normal?
Then we look elsewhere for the cause of your symptoms. Sleep, thyroid, medications, stress and other medical conditions all produce the same complaints, and finding the real cause is more useful than treating the wrong one.
How often is it monitored?
On a set schedule with repeat labs and appointments. The exact intervals depend on your treatment and are agreed with you at the start.
Can I stop?
Yes, and that is a conversation to have with your physician rather than a decision to make alone, so it is done properly.
What happens at the first appointment?
A full history, a discussion of your symptoms, and lab orders. Nothing is prescribed that day.
